Grr! Argh!

Well ain't that just peachy - now I'm sick :P Nothing major, just some coughing and congestion that's more annoying than anything else. But you know what they say: it always gets worse before it gets better. However, if what I'm feeling now is the extent of the "worse" then I count myself blessed. I can deal with how I'm feeling now as opposed to past colds.

Still, I'm peeved as I was trying very hard not to get sick - taking lots of vitamin C, avoiding people who were sick. Then I decide to have a social life and ended up around others were were (or starting to get) sick :P Or so I assume. It may be my sister's fault since she was the one who started coughing first. Yeah, totally my sister's fault ;)

When I had the pneumonia the doctor told me get Mucinex to break
up congestion in my head and chest.
Took two tabs 12 hours apart with water.
It is amazing what it did. We could not get rid of the fever until
I started the Mucinex.
GET SOME NOW!!
Finally, take one Sheppard and call us later.
He is not much on bedside manner, but is good for overall recovery.
:P

Mucinex, eh? I shall try that (I was just going to take a Dayquil, if we had any).

I plan on taking my misery out on Shep, among others ;P That always makes me feel better :D

YES, MUCINEX (Expectorant)
*Thins and loosens mucus
*Relieves Chest Congestion
*Makes coughs more productive
(they also have one variety that stops cough, but he told me
to get the expectorant to break up the cough)

I plan on taking my misery out on Shep

Poor darlin'
:P

Bummer, hope you feel better. My mom swears by Mucinex as well, especially if you've got a lot of chest congestion. Get well soon!

I'm in the very very last stages of a cold that's been plaguing me for 2 and a half weeks--I hope you have a less obnoxious strain!

Water. Lots and lots of water. It really does help, although it means you have to run to the bathroom an awful lot.

I feel for you.

Mine triggered my asthma. The cold is gone, but the wheezing and coughing has remained.

I agree...take one Sheppard, wrap up both of you in a comfy blanket and...

Ah I'm sorry. I've been struggling with sinus infections off and on all winter - I was out of work for a few days last week. And it always makes my asthma worse too. You have my sympathy - hope you're feeling better!

Thanks :D The congestion feels like it's clearing up, but should it linger I may try Mucinex.

I hate it when colds try to drag out for as long as they can :P what I have must be pretty mild, as I don't feel uber crappy like usual.

Heh, and very true on the bathroom thing ;)

Yikes! :P Sounds like you need Shep more than me.

Thank you. Hope you feel better as well.
