What's weird about this was that it was the phones that were down but the Internet was fine. Usually when the phones are down it's a sure bet the net will be down.

What makes me nervous is that the phones kept flashing "in use." Back when we had dial up someone hijacked our modem (we ended up getting a bill for the craziest stuff) and we've been paranoid about another hijacking ever since. So I couldn't help wondering if someone was trying to get to our Internet.
