I mean, I like a good song from almost any genre (sans opera lol) but I don't like a song just because of a genre.

Yes. Same with bands. I may like a particular band but that doesn't mean I like every song by that band.

For me I think the only genre that just never really does it for me is country. It's not that there's anything wrong with country (I used to listen to it in fact), it's simply no longer my thing.
