What really sucks is that we were all out in the sun and I'm the only one beet red :/

I laugh because a close friend of mine once told me I was 'disgusting'.........
Ruth would slather sun lotion all over like basting a turkey, and NOTHING would happen. She did not get red or even pink, NOTHING yet the lotion promised to protect her against UV/UA rays but let her tan.........
I would use none, and later I would look lightly blushed and then following day it would be all tan (we would spend same time in the sun)
It has always been that way.
My sister does tan somewhat but she also breaks out in freckles......LOTS of them like our mother did.......
I tan like our father did
I no longer spend any real time in the sun though....I have had five basal cell carcinomas removed from my face
Thank God not melanoma

I used to tan wonderfully when I was younger, but I also went outside a lot more. These days, not so much, so I go straight to red. It makes me a little nervous about skin cancer, sometimes, even though I don't get sunburned that often (in fact I haven't been sunburned in years until now).
