Argh! Why are my replies always being eaten! I am so tired of losing my replies!
Sorry. This keeps happening to me, especially with my somewhat longer replies and it's making me want to punch my laptop. Anyway...
it's partly a sort of semi-superstitious fear that talking about something unpublished will cause other people to snaffle my ideas, and partly just that it's how my creative brain works -- things are in a constant state of flux when I'm working on them, and I change them as I go, which makes it too weird for me to post things that aren't finished.
Yes! This is very much me as well, and I swear there's a correlation between me talking about projects and those projects never getting finished - ever. Thus my dithering, even though the story is written and on its second draft. But, still, I would really like to get some feedback while I'm still early into the editing project. The beginning is where it counts and I really don't want a repeat of my last story.
