I do love the idea of John as an outsider/outcast :D

The longer work is still up in the air. I'd started it, ended up hating it, and it's 50/50 whether or not I'll rework and rewrite it. I really do have a hard time with AUs. However, at the same time, want to one day write a really involved fanfic piece, and this particular plot still has much promise. So, we shall see.
