I love it when I'm reading a story that I think "I'm not going to like this" - because, thus far, I had been reading nothing but fic that had been one disappointment after another - only to be pleasantly surprised to be, well, pleasantly surprised.

I've been reading the [livejournal.com profile] sga_santa stories and you're right. It's one disappointment after another. And then, suddenly, surprise, I actually like one.

I haven't checked out SGA_Santa yet. I'm afraid to :/

Really, I don't think you should bother.

Yay for holiday fic! :D

Ugh. There's so much shite out there right now. I've been sticking to my faves list, and re-reading some older fic. And I've been trolling the Star Trek Reboot and NCIS Big Bang sites. I didn't even know about the ST BB; found it by accident. There's some awesome stuff there that's not all slash. Yay! And I just saw you've written something new! Gotta read that...

Once I'm done with Skeleton Key (which should start making an appearance soon) I want to try my hand at an NCIS full length fic. Yikes!

I usually stick with favorite stories in SGA unless a fave author has written something new. I'm still trying to stick with White Collar since I still like writing for it, but trying to find good gen fic is a major lesson in patience that mostly... er... fails :(
