Suits (not a review) and Steak Houses

First off, Japanese Steak House *drools while dying of a food coma* My mom and sister were meh about it but I loved it, and the little show the chef puts on is teh awesome (our chef was very funny). I love food, or I should say I love the experience of food. When I eat I want to enjoy what I eat. That means waiting until I'm hungry instead of eating whenever and making something with as much flavor as possible. Or going out to eat.

Second off, some Suits thoughts regarding last night's episode.

Suits should be another show, like White Collar, where I enjoy all the characters - even Louis - but Rachel, that Rachel. Argh! What is her problem? She is such a jerk to Mike when all he's been is nothing but nice and, in the case of this episode, helpful. And, yeah, sometimes she is nice to him and has even helped him, only to turn around and give him the sub-zero shoulder and I don't get it. Not only that, she's also coming across as a hypocrite - all ready to cheat on the LSATS only to give Mike the third degree for his shady past without giving him the chance to explain. I swear it was like she was just waiting for him to give her a reason to hate him.

I get the feeling she's trying to keep Mike at arm's length, that she likes him but for some reason also feels threatened by him (or, more accurately, threatened by the fact that she likes him). Her actions remind me of Cruz from White Collar. I always felt Cruz was rather harsh to Neal. Not out-right mean, but rude and condescending, and it always gave me the impression that she secretly liked Neal, felt threatened that she liked him, so put distance between them by being sarcastic to him on a daily bases.

And it did no more favors for Cruz than it's doing for Rachel. I'm sure there's a whole story arc behind why Rachel treats Mike the way she does but it's making her incredibly difficult to like and sympathize with her.
