Spider-man was amusing to watch, but I was at the same time deeply uncomfortable with Tony recruiting him.
I was just thinking the same today as I was driving home! Tony goes and recruits this kid and for what? To save the world? Nope, to help tony win one heck of an argument (well, yes, it is more than that. But, really, that's what it kind of boils down to). Plus, yeah, he kind of blackmailed him into doing it and I get the impression he didn't really explain anything.
And I almost felt similar about Sam recruiting Ant Man, but technically Ant Man does owe him one after trashing Sam's wings and breaking into the Avenger's base. But Spider Man was recruited simply because he was another superhero Tony happened to know about. Peter was both an innocent bystandard in this mess and a kid.
But... it kind of worked for me in a way, mostly as a means of showing what a mess this all was, and how far both Tony and Steve were willing to go for their cause. Because at the end of the fight when it looked like Peter might be seriously hurt tony told him to stay down and that he was done with this fight, which felt to me like Tony realizing he may have gone too far bringing this kid into things.
I really wish we got more Bucky stuff, because I find Bucky fascinating considering everything he went through. Metaphorically speaking, he and Steve are kind of like twins who were separated into different families, with Steve neding up with the kinder Family (SHEILD) and Bucky the abusive family (Hydra). That's an H/C friendship gold mine right there!
