I just saw it! It was so good. It really did feel like a long episode of ToS. And the whole destroy-our-enemies-with-music thing? Maybe one of the best battle scenes ever, tbh. ^^

I also have the mention, at the part when the enterprise crashed, I leaned over to my mom and told her that this scene would be sadder if Star Trek fans weren't used to the enterprise blowing up all the time. That poor ship ^^;

Too true. Poor Enterprise... (Though I would point out that IIRC we got through the entire Original Series and three?? of the original movies without losing the ship once. It was really Next Gen that kicked off that trend. Young whippersnappers, don't know how to look after a ship properly... *shakes cane*)
