I think WH13 is starting to grow on me. Of course it will never have the pull and hold that SGA did (it's rare for me to get into a show as deeply as I did SGA) but it's fun and doing things I liked. Myka knew what a red-shirt was, and Pete pointed out that she knew - hee! :D Loved it. I honestly think that's the first show where a woman revealed her geek side without her being Abby/Garcia-esque quirky. And I liked that they dealt with the issue of keeping secrets, and why Artie never explains everything that he should. It makes all his subterfuge a little less annoying (though, oddly enough, it was Artie that annoyed me this episode rather than Pete. I'm starting to like Pete again.)
I finally got around to watching SGA's Inquisition. I've been putting it off because I really don't like the rehash eps. This one was okay, but still a rehash ep so still a little boring (I preferred Letters to Pegasus over this one.) But what I loved was the end, when they're out on the balcony, smoking their cigars. After a few puffs on his, I could totally tell Sheppard(Joe) wasn't inhaling and, in fact, looked like he was trying very hard not to cough. My mom was watching it with me and pointed out that after a few puffs, Sheppard was starting to look a little green, and that he wasn't taking more puffs on the cigar while Woolsey was puffing away.
We know Joe declared himself a non-smoker, yet we've seen pictures of him - usually at social events - holding a cigar. Well, if I wasn't just seeing things in Inquisition, we can safely say that he isn't much for smoking cigars, either. which makes me wonder what he does with them. Hold them in his mouth and pretend to smoke just for appearance sake (or to be polite)? Puffs without inhaling (though he didn't seem to have much luck with that in the ep)?
But, again, I could have just been reading too much into Joe's reaction to the cigar. Still... I think I'll watch that particular part of the ep one more time to see ;)
