Watched that Boa vs. Python last night. I'd DVR'd it out of curiosity to see what Hewlett is like in other movies.

Um, yeah... *pats movie on its special little head*. Although to be honest I didn't so much watch it as fast forward to the end, while stopping only to watch Hewlett's parts. Because it's a SyFy movie, cheap, with giant man-eating monsters, sitting through the entire thing wasn't exactly necessary (nor worth damaging my sanity over). I do have to say, Hewlett was rather good looking in this. I don't think he's ugly or anything, he's just not really my cup of tea in the looks department. But despite it being an utterly cringe-worthy movie, I rather liked him in this. It was interesting to see him play what essentially was the opposite of McKay, though he did exude the occasional McKay aura now and then - mostly an intolerance toward idiots ;)

OMG! I did the same thing! LOL He was kinda perty with all that hair. And he seemed taller. I guess if he's gotta stand next to Joe Flanigan, he'd seem shorter.

I also rented a strictly Canadian movie he did called Ice Men. He sings! He skates! A few cringe-worthy moments between the drama, and it wasn't as light-hearted as it was made to sound. In fact, it was a bit uncomfortable. Four guys in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, Canada. The over-acheiver (Martin Cummins), inherits the family cabin. They're celebrating his best friend, the married dreamer's (David Hewlett) birthday. Two other friends come, and the unwanted appearance of a long lost brother mar the weekend.

But I warn of gayness on the part of the two other friends. And it was a bit depressing.

I think that's the only way to watch a SyFy monster movie - see the beginning, then fast forward to the end, because it's all the same - monster eats people, people hunt monster, and the only reason people endure these horrible plots is to know if they finally kill the monster and if any of the main cast die (and, in some cases, hoping that some of the main cast do indeed die :P) But I really liked Hewlitt as the fearless giant snake wrangler :D It was interesting to see the contrast between that character and McKay. And, yes, he did seem taller :D

I'm not really a big Hewlitt fan but I would like to see A Dog's Breakfast, just because it sounds interesting.

I didn't know until now that he was in that God awful movie. I can't bear to watch it. Maybe I'll watch it like you did...

Fast forward was the only way. the first two minutes alone were difficult enough :P Hewlitt was likable but not enough to put up with the entire thing.

It is on my list of DH films.. I have finally gotten to see Cube (it's only been sat on my BF's dvd shelf for ever) and A dogs breakfast (which he did between s1 and s2 of SG:A) which has a couple of "movie done on the fly" moments but I found quite amusing.

I love "B" movies, there is a certain charm about them.. and I often find B movie actors to be more versatile than hollywood Stars..

I saw it some time ago. Yes, it's a horrible movie, but he was very good in it, and also really good looking. Worth seeing only his parts.

You should see A Dog's Breakfast. It's cute. His sister is so completely weird and adorable, and the movie is just silly and giddy Canadieness. LOL

Fun times...
