Oops. It's been fixed, now. Just a matter of wording, really.
There was mention that in Remnants there was supposed to be a scene in which Kolya ask John if he still blames himself for what happened to his mother. It didn't made the final cut, sadly, but after hearing about it, it's intrigued me ever since. I think it would explain quite a bit about Sheppard if something happened to his mom and John wasn't there or he did something that he felt put him at fault for his mom's fate. It's something I've been wanting to explore, but sadly wasn't able to fit it into this story.
