Apologies for not posting the big vacation pic-spam. I'm still working on it, but some of the pictures are being butts about loading.
Yesterday was the first day of my goal to only get on the .Net every other day (except to check e-mail). It worked out wonderfully. I got so much writing done on my story and finished reading Neverwhere, which I enjoyed despite it involving a trope I really despise (which I will get into later when I do a book review).
I'm finally in the 11,000 word mark of my Shep-amnesia story. It's not so much the word count that makes me happy but that I'm finally at the transition point and poor Sheppard... well, I can't say much since I don't want to give anything away. All I will say is that I finished point A and can finally move on to point B. I like this story thus far, I really do. I've enjoyed writing it and it's been coming together nicely. I also like the direction it's going. I wouldn't call this story all that different from what I usually write but, in a way, it is. This isn't an H/C for the sake of H/C story, in that there's a lot more to what happens to Sheppard and why it happens, and should create quite the conundrum for him later on (and quite the twist, if I do this right). I really hope that, when I finally start posting, people will give this story a chance. It's an amnesia story, after all, with dark parts and whumpy parts, and so is among the tropes that I know many people either approach with caution or don't approach at all (to which I understand why, of course).
I also almost have the second book to my original book plotted. I hope to start writing it soon, probably after I finish the amnesia fic.
And that is all.
