I'm such a sponge :P. All this watching of Soul Eater and Bleach and my sister telling me about various animes and mangas has planted a seed of creativity in me, one I have no idea what to do with. I'm coming up with these ideas that would probably make excellent mangas but, well, I'm not exactly a manga artist (which is such an understatement it's ridiculous). Can I write them as books? Probably, but would it do as well? Would it be the same? Probably not. What I keep coming up with is image heavy, and not the kind of stuff that would be easy to describe without annoying the reader.

I need to make friends with kick-butt artists. I've come up with a ton of ideas that would be great as illustrated books or comic books, but I don't have the art skills to make them happen. One of my dreams is to team up with an artist and make at least one of these ideas a reality.

Edit: Okay, forget the last question as it was a tad confusing. What I should ask is if there are any comic books/mangas that have been made into written books (Ex. the manga Trinity Blood, I believe, has a written book series). I know there are books that have been made into comics, but I'm looking for the reverse. And did they work? Because if I can't draw an idea - which I darn well know I can't - I can at least write it.

Snarl!

Ga, I hate, hate, hate cheap, quick resolves. Hate them! A punch in the face, a smack to the back of the head, yelling, yelling, yelling and all is well. It's not that I think having one character tell another to get a hold of him/herself doesn't ever work or has no place in a story. And it's not that I think a good talking to doesn't have merit. But when a show/story layers on the angst and trauma only to end it all with a bunch of insults and reprimands, it's about as satisfying as the end of Irresponsible :P All that build up, and this is the resolve we get? I get that sometimes the plot needs to move on, that a story needs to just end, but there has got to be a better way of going about it.

And I despise "naivety is no excuse" (because of course we're all mind readers and are supposed to know everything:P:P:P). Gaaaaaah! And why must characters suck at defending themselves when it's not their friggin fault!

Yeah, feel better now :P And, no, this isn't because of a story. It's actually because of a show I was watching. Apologies for it, but it really irked me.
