OMG Winter!
Feb. 20th, 2013 01:38 pmFor real winter! As in lots and lots of snow and not just a light dusting that's gone by morning! At last!
Yes, I'm happy about this, even if we do end up regretting it for one reason or another later. Number one, we've been in a drought for flippin' ever so it's nice to finally get a heap of moisture even if it is in snow form. Number two, last winter we didn't even have a winter, and allergens and insects were horrible during the summer. And number three, it proves what I'm always saying about Kansas - its seasons are insane. Just because we get two years of barely any winter doesn't mean next winter won't come with a blizzard.
Of course I'm a little concerned for my brother, who's from south Texas, who hasn't driven in snow for quite some time :/
