So Much Stuff!
Jan. 26th, 2015 05:20 pmFirst off,
sholio did an awesome thing for me and interviewed me for my book, The Toymaker. I had always worried that my first interview would be difficult and stressful, but this one was a blast! I know I've already said my thanks but, really, I feel like enough thanks can't be said. So, once again, thank you for this :D
Second off, my very first book, Amrin the Dreamer - the one I, er, wrote back when I was a wee bit full of myself and in a bit of a hurry and so probably didn't give it the tender love and care (and better editing) it probably needed. I've been thinking about this book quite a lot, lately, and that, maybe, it's high time I gave it another read, cleaned it up and republished it. Because while it is a bit cliche in some aspects ad probably reads like the first attempt at a novel that it is, I still love the story and the characters. It's not a plan I have set in stone, but if I can find my Lulu password (where the original book is published) and get my current copy unprotected, then this may be something I'll tackle before tackling the big epice of doom.
Third off, my brain is a jerk. Seriously, a complete jerk. Or maybe it's my muses. Yeah, definitely them. So I'm working on my web story when I come up with another story idea that my muses are telling me "I think this story would make a better web story than your current one." And I'm like "No. No brain. Don't even go there." That said, I do think the new idea would also make an excellent web story as well as provide some variety that could help draw in more readers. The current idea is fantasy, while the new idea leans more toward sci-fi (but with some supernatural aspects thrown in, because this is me, and I can't seem to help a dash of the supernatural). So I may do that later on if my interest in it holds (because new stories are like that - you get excited, you want to tackle it right away but can't since you need to plan it out, first. Then the enthusiasm fizzles out and the idea either becomes something you want to do later or ends up being something you don't really want to do at all).
