There is huge variety in writing, even in gen, in LOTR when it involves Aragorn and Legolas which is why I find it so satisfying. I still remember some of them and to say the plots are intricate would be putting it mildly and whump equally so........... What gets me is why they cannot do that in other fandom?? ***shrugs****
