XD *scrubs brain* I think that author is totally fooling herself if she thinks she's not writing lifestyle BDSM, too, because that is EXACTLY what that is. It's not gen. (And you know me. I read a fair amount of fic that isn't gen. I don't have any problem with BDSM; it just happens not to be my thing, in general. Trying to sneak BDSM into a "gen" fic, though? NOT COOL.)
I would love to see how the anon thing works out in a gen meme, because I do think that it might make more people feel comfortable participating, or more open about asking for things they want to read without feeling self-conscious. That kind of self-consciousness is exactly what's made me hold back from participating in a lot of challenges and commentfic memes over the last couple of years; I just feel too awkward about asking for, or writing, the self-indulgent things I really want. It would be lovely to have a space to be freed from those concerns!
