The SGA Gen Comment-A-Thon Pt. 1

To kick off the new year I present to you a challenge - the SGA gen comment-a-thon challenge (yeah, changed the title. I just really didn't like “non-kink meme.”) There are no due dates, no end dates, so feel free to participate whenever you want.

Rules: You'll be presented with a list of prompts. The challenge, should you choose to accept it...

Request: Turns out both Ronon and Rodney are rampant sleep-cuddlers when off world. John and Teyla make them bunk together so they can cuddle each other.
Ronon and Rodney are both totally okay with this.

Request: Team arrives back in Atlantis after a long OW mission. Cue exhaustion, maybe a little hurt, to find heating in Atlantis is not working. Very cold and team gathers one at a time to share someones bed for warmth. Maybe Lorne or Elizabeth comes looking for them and finds a very sweet puppy pile!
Don't want: Woolsey or Rodney dragged away to fix heating problem.

Carson finally insists John rest, and once he is asleep, asks Rodney to sleep next to John to elevate his body temp. Sheppard waking up with Rodney drool on him would be extra funny

Prompt: Subversive

Characters: Sheppard, team or one of the team

Request: Hard-core comfort, baby! Basically, aftermath fic that involves someone having tried to subvert John, hurting him mentally and physically, leaving him skittish, jumpy, wary and all around miserable. Cue team - or team member - comfort. You don't need to go into what was done to John if you don't want, I'm mostly just interested in the comfort, though I would like for John to still be injured (just rescued or slowly on the mend) when the comfort takes place. Feel free to allow Ronon to take revenge on the one who tried to dominate John :D

Don't want: For this story to take place weeks or months after rescue. John's team forcing him to open up. A quick fix (that is, someone saying the magic words that makes everything all better, and everything goes back to normal. Life isn't usually that accommodating).

Okay, I know I said I would stop at 5 prompts...hee hee hee...but I'm just throwing this out there, just in case it interests anyone. The prompt response stories here have been excellent.

Prompt: Dominate

Characters: Col. John Sheppard (post Season 5, newly promoted) and Green Berets, military observers, any others you see fit to add

Request: I watched "Two Weeks in Hell" (Green Beret candidates) today and would love a story involving Sheppard competing with a few Green Berets in some kind of military competition, and, to the surprise of everyone (maybe even Sheppard), Sheppard dominates them at their own game...while injured. Enough of an injury to make it even more of a shocker to them that this "Zoomie" could outdo them even with a injury that he kept quiet until the exercise was over.

Don't Want: Anyone bringing up Sheppard's "black mark" or Antarctica.

Prompt: handcuffs/beating
Characters: John, Ronon, Carson (plus any others you'd like to add)
Request: An old-fashioned, pre-Sunday infirmary scene -- the aftermath of Sheppard taking a severe beating while somewhere in Atlantis. Use handcuffs as a device for the beating. Example (don't have to use): Sheppard handcuffed somewhere and can't escape waves/wind bashing him against something.
Don't want: Character death, head injury, John unconscious through most of the story.

(Please forgive me if I did this wrong, but I couldn't pass up the chance to share a story idea that I've wanted to read for a while now.)

Prompt: slavery
Characters: Ensemble but Sheppard being the focus.

Request: Sheppard and Atlantis share 'consciousnesses', in other words: Sheppard becomes Atlantis and vice versa after McKay takes down certain protocols (that they didn't know enslaved the city) while Sheppard is in the control chair and their joining was an accident. Sheppard reveals to the rest of the expedition that Atlantis was created by the Ancients to be sentient to aid in their intellectual drive and/or goals for enlightenment, that though she is sentient they still believed that she didn't have emotions and so was merely another tool to use and discard, making her essentially a slave. Perhaps the IOA learns of this latter aspect and sees this as a way to "better utilize" the city's features and they, along with the SGC, say that it's better to put the protocols back in place for safety reasons knowing that to do that will make Sheppard a slave as well since there isn't a real way to separate two consciousnesses. The IOA and SGC are also afraid of what Atlantis will do now that she has access to Sheppard's military training and knowledge of Earth and its military, thinking she is somehow in control of him and that she will try and 'make a break for her freedom' from having anyone living within her walls and purposely misunderstanding that they are now one person who still has the goal in mind to protect their people and they see the expedition and the people of Earth as 'theirs'. Maybe the SGC sends in their own people to put the protocols back in place and after the rest of the expedition sees that Sheppard is basically turned into an automaton who answers questions and immediately does as he's ordered, the rest of the expedition decide to put a stop to it and find a way to permanently disable the protocols.

Don't want: Any type of 'fix-it' where they figure out how to separate Sheppard and Atlantis.

Thirty Eight Minutes Tag

Prompt: Drugs/Drugging

Characters: John, Carson, Anyone else you want to use from the cast

Request: John waking up in the infirmary after being brought back to life in the Jumper. He's in a lot of pain and the venom from the Iratus bug has caused his system to go out of whack. Beckett can't give him any drugs cause he doesn't know how they'll interact with the venom. Cue the Hurt. This would take place before the team or Elizabeth is allowed to see him. Then continue it after the last scene in the show, where Beckett can finally give John the drugs he needs to deal with the pain and fever. You can carry it out so that his body takes longer than a few days to recuperate from the after effects.

Don't want: An easy fix for the situation. I didn't think John was whumped enough after they brought him back to life.
