Oooo, I like that idea! Joe's character as a single man taking on his friends' kids. But then, that wouldn't be Wal-Mart's idea of an "ideal family", would it? Ha! A little less at atrocious to them than a gay couple becoming parents. I think you're right - this was a vehicle for Brooke White. I loved Joe in this pilot movie. He had many adorable moments. I also think his best scenes were when Brooke wasn't in the scene. It aired on a very busy night - NFL playoffs, so I imagine they got a smaller audience than if they had aired it Friday night. DUH!! I also didn't see one preview aired on FOX the week leading up to the premier, though I saw the trailer aired several times on The Weather Channel - go figure! We'll see. Maybe it won't get picked up and Joe will just move on; or maybe he just won't sign on for the series. -Diane
