I don't think that Neal ~planned~ to steal rubies in Burma. He might have shown ~interest~ and he might have done some ~research~ but until he had a plan, he was not ~planning~ to steal rubies in Burma XP
Also, I think that Neal's dad is alive too. And that he is in prison. And that Neal found out while he was in prison himself. Which would have sucked big time for him.
