OMG! Is that consistency! I'll admit that I didn't think the A-Team the kind of show to stay consistent or really go for a lot of character development. What can I say, I underestimated it. But we have Amy going from naive newbie to the one who keeps a gun trained on the bad guys after they've been captured, and Hannibal a little less goofy and a lot more bad a**. At least that's what it seems to me. I think with Amy it's the most obvious, and you have no idea how much I love that. She's become the sister in this little band of brothers and I find that adorable to no end. Which is saying a lot since it's rare for me to like the female characters in a show. I'm a fan of the woman who isn't trying to prove herself, who just fits in and you know they fit in. Characters like Teyla and Abby and Garcia and Elizabeth (WC Elizabeth). But it's a characterization that I feel is extremely rare. I love that Amy is so comfortable among these weird boys. Not only that, but she knows when and how not to put up with their antics (heh, they now know better than to mess with her car ;)). And I love that it's usually her and Murdock who save the team when they're captured.
Now on to the big meta question - does Murdock have mental issues? Discuss. My own theory runs along the vein of Murdock being incredibly eccentric but as a coping mechanism for underlying issues. Yes, I'm probably over thinking it, but I'm logic minded and that's what makes the most sense to me. As to whether he needs the VA for these issues I can't say. It could be that he does need help, even though he is pretty functional. It could also be a safety thing, keeping Murdock in a position to help the team if they need it, as well as keeping him from ending up in prison since prison could make those issues worse.
Also, I finally did it. I wrote A-Team fic. It's movie-verse, however, but still A-Team.
