Well, I guess I know what I'm using my DW account for. Time to back stuff up. speaking of Dreamwidth, I have five invite codes if anyone needs one. I'm also thinking about having Collarcorner over on DW, also as back up should things go haywire again.
Interesting news; a few days ago I learned from my dad that my aunt was in charge of hiring the background cast for Cowboys and Aliens. I thought that pretty dang nifty, especially since it's the one movie we've been waiting all summer to see.
I've been feeling rather cruddy the past couple of days and can't quite figure out why. I want to say it's allergies since that's what it feels like - the worst dang allergies I'd ever had. Except A) it's sporadic, where as the last time I had it this bad it was constant and B) last time there was a source - having a bird in my room. Said bird has long since passed away, and I cleaned my room pretty thoroughly not that long ago. I thought that, maybe, it was something I kept eating, then thought that maybe it was the tap water, then thought maybe it had something to do with how hot it's been. But I've stopped eating the thing I thought might be causing the problem, started drinking bottled water by the ton and... I'm still not sure since, as I said, it comes and goes. At this point, I really don't know anymore. Tomorrow I plan on giving my room an even more thorough clean to see if that helps.
On the writing front, I finally started my Collarcorner fic exchange story after three plots and three outline rewrites. Funny thing is that it wasn't until I started writing that plot number three - the winner - finally popped into my mind practically fully formed. I seem to have this habit of starting with long, complicated, confusing ideas that absolutely refuse to settle into something simple and doable, only for the plot to suddenly, out of nowhere, settle into something simple and doable. It's like the idea was there all the time but the big, complicated idea refused to get out of its way and let me see it. And it's frustrating, because why wasn't I able to come up with this sooner since it's so dang simple! It's basically become the story of how I come up with all my stories.

Inside air is quite bad, even if we have filters and humidifiers etc.
I mean it could be other but. . .the air gets close anytime a person is
sequestered inside.
At least that is my take on it.

Date: 2011-07-29 06:33 am (UTC)From:As for the allergies, it's so hard to tell sometimes, isn't it? I'm usually not allergic to grass pollen, but this year sometimes I feel like I am because my nose gets itchy and my eyes start burning. I know what pollen allergy is like because birch pollen always gives me the time of my life. Not keen on adding grass pollen to that. :-\
Oh, and by the way: Not sure if you saw my little ficlet I posted recently, "Knee-Deep". Because you made me watch "Suits". Just what I need, another TV show on my to-watch list. *shakes fist* :-P
Second you on the collarcorner ficswap. I need to get started on that one. I already have a plot, not it just needs to be written. Lord, throw time and inspiration from the Heavens. Please.

I really hope that I will get my story for the fic exchange ready in time - I have this crazy complicated case story with a lot of subplot, which I
1. have trouble to get into the right order.
2. spend allready a month on and I have barely made a dent in what I planned.

It's far more complicated than I thought it would be, and I'm dying to scrap it and start over again, but I really don't know what else I'd write instead. Plus, I've already poured a lot of effort into it. Grr.
