The Dragon's Lair

I think Neal is more resilient than he gets credit for; although they are often glossed over to a certain extent, if you think about the heavy things that have happened to him in the show, he doesn't really lean on or confide in anyone else and is actually quite stoic. It's always a tricky balance to not change the characterization with your own scenarios: the inherent problem of fanfic I suppose! ;)
