kriadydragon: (Cheshire cat)
Our three-legged dog Sophie has an itchy-trigger bark. You never know what is going to set this dog off, like how just now I was making some popcorn, it starts popping so Sophie starts barking at the microwave :P

Oh, and my cat Mitsy is in love with my sister's tennis shoes. I caught her cuddling with them as though they'd been soaked in catnip.

ETA: Sophie is such a little kid! Every time one of the dogs has a toy - any toy, it doesn't matter which - then Sophie starts barking at them and if she still doesn't end up with the toy she'll come and bug us until we make that dog give up the toy. But, of course, give her the toy and after a while she loses interest. Until one of the dogs has that toy again.

(((NODS))))))
The cat I had in San Diego was totally enamored by my bedroom slippers
I would find her curled up around them or throwing them up in the air etc.
It was weird........

Oh, pets. I think we get them more for the entertainment value than actual companionship ;)

***NODS****
Little did I realize when I got her how much of an entertainer she was.

Speaking of entertaining, highly recommend:
Because of Winn-Dixie
Be certain to watch this trailer:

That dog was shameless.
It stole every scene it was in...........
:D

LOL. Quirky animals. Our dog was so good about not barking in general, but at night anything could freak him out. Which was always a bit freaky, because none of us could tell if he was really barking at something, or just seeing shadows. :P

Heh, and as for cat's and the favorite things to snuggle with... I just "retired" my old bath robe, and had it sitting on my bed. Ro quickly discovered it, and I think he thinks he's died and gone to heaven. Needless to say, I don't think the robe's going in the trash...

Heeee! :D My other cat Bug is so much the same way. I have a second blanket and my robe on my bed and Bug will kneed the crap out of them. In fact she'll get all flustered and annoyed if neither one is within kneeding range.
