Merlin being left for dead really bothered me too. I like how you wrote it here. Merlin should have been pissed off over it.
I don't think the hug was OOC, Arthur hugged Merlin once before when he thought he might have been dead so it totally worked for me! This whole thing did. I liked that Percival was such a caring nurse. I could so see the big softy doing that!
Very nice job on this, I only wish there'd been room for it in the episode :D
