So... I'm not quite as happy with this one as with the first one. While it turned out neat visually, putting it together was something of a mess. I was trying a new method of putting the fur on, with part of the method working and the other part so tedious and not really necessary that it ended up throwing things off. Plus, bieng left over fur, the fur's a bit all over the place.

And for some reason the shag fur was even more of a nightmare to work with. Seriously, if you ever do poseable dolls with fur, never use shag fur.

But, dang it, look at that adorable fluffy face. It's so fluffy. The fur also feels a lot more on the body rather than loose, so some improvement there.

Despite the frustration of this one, I still really like doing it. There's just something awesome about making a sculpture you can actually handle and do stuff with as opposed to making something static. I have several more dolls ideas in mind (although I'll be sticking with dragons for the time being) and should my next projects turn out more professional looking then I'm going to open an Etsy account and put them on the market. I've been wanting to use my arts skills to make something I can sell, and as I said I really enjoy making these, and despite some hiccups I've been really, really happy with them, so win-win all around.
