*Blushes* Thank you! When writing this, I actually had no real intentions of making it anything longer (I was kind of forced to use the AU background I created since I didn't want to think up anything else). Like you said, the concept was "The Team" and how they were meant to be a team. For the story to be expanded, really, was kind of a fluke but one I'm having a hard time resisting.
And I was the same as you when it came to AUs. At first I wouldn't read any, but gradually became enamored with AUs that remain in the same galaxy, but simply veer away from the main story-line in order to create different outcomes. There are very few AUs that take the characters completely out of their universe that I like, and normally because there's still something very in-character about them that makes it tolerable (and fascinating). Other than that, I tread lightly when it comes to AUs.
For that same reason, they are difficult for me to write. The only AUs I'm somehwat comfortable with are this one and my Dream Eater verse (which I really need to do more stories for).
