I have no regrets about setting Black Dragon aside for another story, because the new story I'm about to write I already love. It took me three days to get the outline done, the quickest I've ever outlined a story as most outlines take about a week, sometimes longer. And this is also the most detailed outline I've ever written! (has to be as the story's a mystery)
I totally, totally, totally cannot wait to write this new story, but am holding off until I finish up the last two request fics (gotta finish what you start or else risk never finishing anything.) So either this week or next is when I'll start writing.

As for my SGA fanfic...
Because I've been all over the place with ideas: wanting to write stories, losing interest in stories, unable to come up with concrete plots for stuff I want to write, coming up with cocnrete plots I don't want to write, and so on, I decided to lay down some solid goals to keep me from ripping my hair out.
My goals for future fic:
1. Writing Do Not go Gentle and Synchronus Reality a must as I've been wanting to write longer Sheppard-Rodney friendship pieces. Do Not Go Gentle a super must as it's a kind of sequel to Hound of Hell you Cry
2. I've been wanting to write a good-old fashion canon-like (well, as canon-like as my stories get) action/adventure teamfic, as most of my chapter stories have been Shep-centered with him separated from the team (knowing me, they'll still be Shep-centered, but with a lot more team involvement.) I have one in mind right now, and hope to come up with another one for the future.
3. Dark fic, hopfully something psychological, but I haven't settled on an idea yet.
4. Sequel to Jabberwocky.
As for other stories I've either talked about writing, or asked for help with, they're still very much up in the air. Some I've been having trouble with (such as the AU fic) and others I can't garner enough interest in to write. So they may be written or they may not be, and I apologize for that. I get so many ideas, but getting ideas is one thing and writing them is totally another. Plus I need to be careful that fanfic doesn't once again overshadow original fic. There was a time I actually feared that I would never have any interest in original fic again, which was why I was so desperate for an original fic to write.
I am currently working on a small chapter fic at my leisure (in other words, once a week), and find it rather relaxing to write. But my plan to write a longer chapter fanfic after I finish an original fic is still in effect. There will be no tackling fanfic novels until after I complete an original novel.
