Woo-hoo! I'm almost done with my SGA fic that was supposed to be a short chapter piece but... mmmmm... may not be. Although compared to my other stories it probably isn't that long at all. I've been working on it for a while now as kind of a means to relax and get out of my system the need to write SGA during times when I had no one-shots in mind. Once a week, every Saturday, but decided to just finish it this week to get it out of the way.
I really enjoyed writing it, though, as I found it to be very relaxing. No research, no deadlines, no overly complicated plots running the risk of plotholes, no feeling like I need to hurry so I can set it aside and move on to other things - it's been nice, but I really can't wait to start posting, which will still be some ways away after I get it edited. Out of all my stories, I consider it the ultimate "Rodney takes care of a hurt and sick Sheppard" fic.
