Well, so far it looks like Jabberwocky may be our winner. I'm going to give it one more day, so there's still time to vote if you haven't.

Also, as a B-day present, my only B-day present with my Brithday still a month away, I got the second season of Dr. Who. Why the second season and not the first, you ask? Well... uh... I don't really want to say *cough*shallow!*cough*. It was actually a rather nerve-racking experience. One being that since I was unable to see the show any other way but through buying it, I bought it, and it t'weren't cheap, let me tell you (thus why it's my only B-day present, not counting going out to eat at the resteraunt of my choice :D) So if I didn't like it... I would have cried and my mom would have yelled at me. For another, I might not have liked it. I love sci-fi and I love wierd but some shows and movies have been too wierd even for my tastes (no offense to Farscape fans because it was a good show, but sometimes, with some episodes... it kind of scared me). At first, it was a little dicey, but after two episodes, I found myself itchin' to watch a third - so much for sticking with watching an episode once a week. I'll probably have it all watched before Saturday. So, needless to say and thank goodness, I liked it :D:D.

But then, I am rather shallow ;) There's only four ingrediants that make for a show that'll pull me in: action-adventure/mystery (yes, I count them as one), a good balance of humor and angst, hot guy with interesting personality/acting skills, said hot guy being fun to watch and thus holding my interest no matter what else is happening in the show. Needless to say, Dr. Who has all three. I have me a new Sci-fi show to watch alongside Stargate Atlantis. Me is happy :D

(P.S. I am also continuing a kind of unspoken tradition. My brother and older sister were fans of the older DR. Who shows.)

I'm not a fan of Dr. Who (well.. at least not the new version. I LOVED Tom Baker's Dr. Who though... and that spokes volume about my age) ;P but since you liked the first season I guess it was just fair to give you the second one as a gift. Hope you will enjoy it.
Anyway, Happy Birthday!! :)

Early Happy Birthday wishes. I love the "new" Dr. Who stuff. I did like Chris E. as the Dr. but LOVE David T. more. Hubby watches the old stuff and he said that DT is almost past Tom Baker as his favorite Dr. I do think that Blink is my favorite ep of all time.

Should I be watching for fanfic? *just joking*

I love Dr Who (all Aussies of a certain age grew up with the show) and when they brought it back I was excited. Chris Eccleston, take him or leave him but David Tennant! Funny and pretty. What a combination. And he got Donna as a companion!!!!! I LOVE Donna!

Huh? I didn't see the first season. I skipped to the second because I heard good things about it so thought it the better place to start.

Heh-heh, I've actually been pondering if getting into this show would lead to fic ;). So far, however, it's leaning toward a mild no. Mild in that - who knows? Maybe further down the line, when I get used to the characters, something might pop up, but I doubt it'll lead to a writing frenzy like SGA had.

That's why I skipped to the second season, because of DT and all the good things people had to say about him. He's a ton of fun to watch :D

I managed to watched all four seasons of the newer Doctor Who in two and a half weeks. I finished earlier today, and I'm now completely in love with it. I think Christopher Eccelston will always have a special place in my heart (because he's my first Doctor), but I love the way David Tennant plays it.
