We may have found a house, but that's only if my mom can get a loan. But for every two steps we take, something pops up that forces us one step back. This house is perfect for us... if we can get it. And we're praying like crazy that we will, because it's either buy a house, get rid of the pets (which we just can't do) or suck it up and stay where we are (which, personally, I think is a really bad idea.) We need to get out of here and live where we won't have to worry about putting up with the crap that's caused us to have to move in the first place.

My sister in law found the house for us (she lives in Texas, but house-hunting is something she likes to do, no matter the state ;)). She's even volunteered to come up and help us pack, and I hope she's able to. Besides how nice it'll be to have the help, my sister-in-law is both a fun and very calm person, and she'll be good to have around during this time for that reason (buying a house and moving in the same month... yeesh! :S).

Thanks. Personally, I think it'll help a lot once things more certain. Once we have a set place to live, that'll leave us with only the stress of packing up and moving. But we're from a military family so, we're used to it :D (Though that doesn't mean we enjoy it, of course ;))

Thanks. We're hoepful - except for my sister. the house is under renovation and when my younger sister saw it, she immediately hated it. Our family is so picky :P

Oh, yikes! I really hope that you are able to get it -- surely you can't give up your pets. *clings to her own pets*

If worse comes to worse, my mom plans on building a pen on my grandpa's farm and keeping teh dogs in it and the cats in a trailer - just until we can find or afford something better, or we move out of state. The dogs should do fine but the cats... two of them hate each other, and I don't think they'd last long couped up in such a small space :S.

Good luck with it all. Buying a house is stressful but it sounds like the conditions making you move are even more so. I am sure it will all work out!

Thanks. It was all very out of the blue, and weird, because though our landlord's always been an amiable guy, I really wasn't surpised this happened.

Gee, you're having a stressful week aren't you? Crosses the fingers for the house. Since I wen't through the same thing earlier in the year I can sort of understand :)

I would say more a weird week. It was just so out of the blue. We've been pretty blessed to get ourselves some options as quickly as we have. the first time we moved here, it was several weeks before we could find a place to live.

Which part of Texas are you planning on moving was the question?

I live in Bryan/College Station home of the Aggies. Moved here in April from BMT/Orange area that was hit by the last hurricane along with Galveston.

BCS is located about 2 hours north of Houston, about 3 hours south of the state captial Austin.

Any where close to these?

Oh, we're not moving to Texas. My sister in law live in Texas - San Antonio. She went online to help find the house we're trying to get, which is in another town but the same state.

No problem. Just thought I would get a chance to say HOWDY if you were close enough *G*. But I'll be putting in my two cents in the pond for good results with the house.

My question was to which part of TX sis-in-law lives. I live in the Dallas area, but I'm from SE TX (near Jasper) so I'm very familiar with Beaumont/Pt Arthur/Orange. I went to school in Waco so I've spent time in AggieLand as well.

She live in San Antonio. But I have a cousin who lives in Dallas... I think, unless they moved. I think my aunt and uncle live there as well, and my dad lives in Houston. We lived in SA until my parents got divorced, then moved up to Kansas.

Cool, maybe if you get to visit Dallas, wildcat & I can meet with you and we all have our own SGA con - LOL!

Again, best wishes with the house.

Good luck with the purchase and possible move. It can be stressful, but if the move is a positive one, it can also be a relief!

Hope all goes well!!!

Yeah, it's very up and down. I look forward to living someplace else, but not the move. If we get the house, we don't have to worry about the pets, but it's a question mark whether we'll get TV and be able to keep our highspeed - not really a big deal, I know, but it'll be frustrating and I'm sick of frustration, especially over little stuff.

Hope you get the house and it is every thing you want it to be!
