Writing - I finally finished chapter two of my original story and, no, I'm not going to bore you with pointless updates every time another chapter is finished. It's just that with this chapter it took two weeks to write and ended up being sixteen pages long. Now, I'm not sure if there's a - I guess, for lack of a better word - "polite" number of pages a chapter should be so as not to overwhelm a reader. However, I don't feel comfortable with a chapter being that long. Seven to ten pages is my preference for a chapter length. But because a lot happened in this chapter, I needed the chapter to stay with a certain character's POV and wanted the next chapter to be another character's POV, chapter two ended up running long. And it was very frustrating to write, what with all the SGA fics vying for my attention *shakes fists at SGA muses.*

TV - Fringe is starting to grow on me. I'm really liking the characters, Walter especially. Losing interest in NCIS but it's to be expected. My interest in the show always fluctuates. I really like the show, but there are times when I just don't have the desire to watch it, I can't explain why. To tell you the truth, few shows are holding my interest these days. I still like CSI:NY, but even that's hanging on by a thread. I'm not really sure what to think about the Danny/Lindsey story arc, and overall there's been very little of Danny unless the story involves his and Lindsey's relationship. I miss the days when Danny centric eps didn't also include Lindsey. Carmine does the best emotional episodes IMO. He gets me to tear up every time.

I really need to get around to watching the SGA season premiere, but keep watching The Shrine instead. It's just... I can't get enough of big brother Sheppard comforting little brother McKay. The cuteness! Oh, the cuteness! And Sheppard in a T-shirt and barefoot *Melts*

If you have any paperbacks or hard bound books, check the chapters. I have read long chapters in books (some 15 pages) and it doesn't bother me one bit!

I'm reading my SGA paperbacks (as well as fic) that I have been realllly holding off on reading so I have a few on hand to read (paperbacks that is).

I used to read the paperbacks as soon as they came in and finished some of them in one night and had to wait for a new one to come out which took months. LOL

I've admitted once and I'll admit it again - I'm anal, as well as a big fan of consistency, so I tend to stick pretty tight to habit.

Heh, I'm also of the habit of finishing books in a day, though I try hard not to. A book is bettered when it's savored but, darn it, I want to know what happens so barely put it down.

Me to. That's my downfall. I start getting into it and I want to see what happens next and I don't want to put it down and I stay up all night reading.

Even the fics. By the time I get done reading e-mail, I read a fic or 2 unless I pick one long one and by the time I know it I'm shutting the light off after 5 AM. LOL

Oh don't leave Search and Rescue out of your watching. It has lots that whumper will enjoy. It is also has some minor and not so minor annoyances but I tend to just enjoy the whumpy parts now.

I'm suposed to be watching SGA all over - starting from season one and working my way up. Instead, I've been watching episodes haphazardly.

Fringe is turning out to be pretty good, though we're waiting for the second half of the season to start here. Walter is great and, much to my surprise I find myself really liking Peter too. Their relationship and the way they play off one another is great but the show suffers when they aren't on screen. Olivia is just a bit dull and only seems to have one expression, that of mild confusion and annoyance. But I do like shows that build a complex mythology and so far its doing that quite nicely. After Life its probably my favourite of the new shows (I know Life is on season two but they only just finished season one over here).

Yeah, Olivia is rather cliche and was the reason I didn't get into the show right away. I'm not a fan of female FBI agents on shows because they tend to be written with very little personality.

Life is another one that's growing on me. Which is odd, as I'm not really fond of shows like that, but I'm really enjoying the characters. Problem is, we never know when the dang show is on because they keep changing the day and time. It's probably back on right now and we don't even know it yet :S.
