Up: I've finally finished a fic that's been sitting in my hard-drive for - if I were to guess - about four years, probably more. It's a doozy of a Shep-whumper and I finally ended it - yay! :D:D:D:D:D
Down: Someone picked one of my prompts for
team_sga, but will be doing OT4 instead of Gen. This makes me sad because that's the prompt I really wanted someone to pick. Well, someone has, but unless it's OT4 with your goggles on then I probably won't be able to read it *hangs head sadly*. I find it rather cruel irony but *shrugs* not much I can do about it except, perhaps, write my own story for the prompt sometime in the far future. It just.. yeah, makes me sad:(.
But my dragon prompt was chosen, and the writer is going to make it gen, so that's a plus :D.

Date: 2009-03-06 03:57 am (UTC)From:It's a bit frustrating, because the same author signed up for another person's prompt - a person who who doesn't mind a story being gen or OT4 - and the author opted to do gen for that person's prompt.
I know it's all a matter of what the prompt inspires, and that the author got an idea for an OT4 from my prompt. I get that, understand it, but I still can't help feeling a little frustrated.
I suppose this should teach me to be more careful about handing out ideas. I do tend to go overboard with it.
Again, apologies for this.
