Petty Annoyance - Eating

So I think it offical to say that I can't stand being around people while they're eating. If we're all eating together, that's fine, because I'm too busy concentrating on my own food and whatever conversation may be going on to pay attention to everyone else's eating. But even then...

I hate the noises: loud chewing, smacking if it's involved, but above all hate the noise of people sucking their teeth, picking their teeth, slurping things that, really, aren't supposed to be slurpped (soup, okay. Green bens... uh, wait, aren't those a soild, not a liquid? How the heck do people end up slurping green beans!) or *shudders* licking their fingers. I cannot stand at all, the latter. Seeing it's bad enough, hearing it is just as bad and makes my skin crawl. Which is funny, because watching people eat doesn't bother me. It's the noises that bother me. But, then, noises in general tend to bother me, especially repetative noises and when someone has the TV blasting for no reason (Mute button! Use it!).

I need ear plugs. I'd listen to music using headphones, but I'd rather not go deaf, especially when someone has the TV blasting :P.

Hard telling what was worse, the racket she was making
eating or her loud voice on the phone
I finally got up and walked away.......was too much
in either case.......

Eew :S. And to be the one on the recieving end of that phone-call... *shudders*. It's why I won't talk on the phone until I'm done chewing. That has to be the most obnoxious sound in existance.

Glad I'm not the only one... I share an office with a guy who's horrible -slurps his noodles everyday plus scrapes his teeth on the fork!

I take incoming calls at work and I HATE people who chew whilst talking on the phone. I feel like saying "ring backk when you're finished eating!" Would probably get into trouble :)
