At last! I finally have the writing portion of both my Secret Santa stories done and done. All that is left is the edits, the lovely, lovely edits. But let this be a lesson to me - no more working on multiple projects. I was rather resentful toward both fics since all I wanted to do was edit my original fic. Then resentful of my original fic for making me want to edit it since I had two Secret Santa fics needing to be written.
From here on in, except for the occasional indulgence since those are hard to refuse, no more writing until the original story edits are done. And no more working on multiple projects, period. (You can't hear it, but there's a little voice in the back of my mind currently laughing at me :P).
Ugh, my back is killing me.
Time to reward myself - tomorrow - with lots and lots of movies. And a meatball sub if possible. And the smell of pies baking. Then back to edits.
Here is a random picture of my cat, Bug, for no sane reason.

Date: 2009-11-25 11:55 pm (UTC)From:I know all about having multiple projects! Never again will I put one giant fic on hold for another. Hopefully you enjoyed writing the Secret Santa ones, I know at least one of them seemed right up your alley and look forward to what you came up with it.
Still have your Big Bang to read, but saved it for last since it was the longest on my list :D

I've never been good at multitasking. It's not that I can't multitask, more that I'm better off focusing on one thing at a time.
Writing both stories was frustrating, but I'm happy with the way they turned out. I think, these days, for me, the pleasure isn't so much in the writing as seeing it all eventually come together. So I'm looking forward to edits.
