Snurched from [livejournal.com profile] kristen999

Step One:

• Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 unlimited holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is to make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

• If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

• Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two:
• Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

• If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

• You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out; it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

• There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My Wishlist:

1. LJ layout. I have a picture I really want to use for my header, but I don't know how to do all that stuff.

2. The washer to stop going off-balance every five minutes :P

3. SGA Fic. Still want that Trinity tag that explores Sheppard's side to the matter - sympathetically and without it turning into a woobie-Rodney story. Whump would be an awesome bonus :D

4. First Monday fic, Julian whump.

5. An editor for my original stories.

6. For all those WIP Shep whump stories in which Sheppard is horribly tortured but the story stops as soon as he returns home to have an ending. I am an aftermath junky, and to cut off the story at the aftermath is torture.

7. A hand-held one of these with black fur, black body and gold horn and hooves.

8. A Shep-whump story based on one of the following prompts: wing!fic, John's discomfort with touch, amnesia!fic in which John's team must re-earn his trust (bonus if Sheppard being tortured ss the cause of his trust issues), clever John, John's injuries being dismissed as superficial only to end up being serious (by someone other than John, himself. I don't want this to be a "John ignores his injuries and pays for it" story), torture/serious injury aftermath . As usual, no gut wounds, quick fixes or anyone else getting more whumped than John.

9. Dr. Who, 10th Doctor icon.

10. Fic ideas for SGA, Thoughtcrimes or First Monday.

I will happily code you a new layout if you let me know what you want.

Thank you so much :D Basically all I want is a particular image for my header. I have the image set up how I like, I just don't know how to plug it into my journal.

What's your e-mail address and I can send the image by e-mail. I could also send it by private message, but I don't know how to insert images :P

If all you want to do is add a header image you can do that yourself but I don't think you can do it with your current style. If you change it to Flexible Squares there is then a box for you to put the url of the image into in the customisation section.

If that's what you'd like to do then let me know and I'll talk you through it.

Okay, I managed to figure it out :D I think all I really needed to know was which layouts allowed for banners (or to be adjusted to allow for banners.)

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Once I knew which layout to choose the rest kind of fell into place (i.e. the FAQs finally started making sense ;))

I put together a few Dr. Who icons for you. If you'll message me your e-mail address I'll send them over. :)

I have a Tenth Doctor icon that you can snag because I snagged it off somebody else (I never thought I'd have something I could gift to you). The usual credit rules apply is all. Take and enjoy *hugs*
