I liked it! Of course there's rarely a movie I don't like. I did a little review under the cut. No real spoilers, but I thought I would play it safe.

I won't say too much so as not to give too much away, but it is a movie worth seeing. My only mild complaint was the way the beggining dragged out a bit, taking much longer than needed (in my opinion) to build up to things. Too much chatty dialogue was the main reason. The dialogue was funny but had the tendancy to keep going, making it a little less funny the more it stretched on, and some of it got down-right annoying after a while, making you want to shake the character talking and tell them to shut-up already. But that was also because I was mostly anxious to get to the action. And boy was the wait worth it. The fight scenes rocked, the transformers were awesome looking, and the action kept me tense throughout the whole movie (thus my annoyance with the dialogue). But what I really loved was that they kept to the story from the original cartoon instead of trying to do their own thing too much. They even stuck with the original characters (Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, etc.) I was afraid they would make all the robots bad guys or something.
The humor also tended to be a little on the raunchy side, still funny but kind of pushing toward ridiculous at times. Still, the movie managed to keep a serious edge to the situation, especially toward the end and the main action. I've seen movies take the humor too far, turning something that should have been cool action into something rather stupid and unenjoyable because of it. Transformers managed to keep itself from doing that (though it did get pretty close at times).
If you're a big Transformers fan then you will definitely like this movie. I think it did the Transformers justice.

Just got home from seeing it and we all gave it a thumbs up! Half way through I was a kid again...got all excited just to hear Prime's voice. You're right though, it did drag just a bit in some spots but easily overlooked. Watching it on a small screen just won't do it justice. That was just so cool! LOL

I was about bouncing in my seat when the autobots finally arrived. Good 'ole Optimus.

My sister and I were joking that they should do a sequel based off of the Transformers: Beast Machines cartoon they had a while back. That would be interesting. "That ape just turned into a robot!"

Saw it today! Awesome. You're right about the dialogue and some of the humor...had one of my kids with me...yikes. The action sequences were totally cool and the fan in me just melted when Prime's voice started off at the beginning.

Great summer schlock! It entertained and that is all you can ask for in a summer movie.

I'd been looking forward to it all summer. I was a little worried at the start of the movie, but it totally didn't disappoint.

Never saw the cartoons but saw the ads for the toys. I was looking for a mindless movie to watch and got it :) Loads of fun. Loved Mojo the dog ;)

I never really watched the cartoons except for bits and pieces, then later on got into Transformers Beast Machines (even have some of the toys as collectibles).

The dog was hilarious.
