Um... Seriously?
Jul. 2nd, 2010 01:02 amI was puttering around, looking up various actors and their various projects. I was looking at info for the remake of Fright Night, which will include David Tennant (10th doctor Who, for those not in the know) among the cast, and I found this reaction rather amusing. (Don't fear the instructions after your click on the link. Just follow them and you'll get to the site).
Because, seriously? David? Ruin the movie? A teenage-terrorized-by-vampires-cult-comedy that for all its fun was really kind of ridiculous, and David Tennant might ruin it? :/ Though I suppose if you really, really, really hated David Tennant then you would probably have that kind of knee-jerk reaction for whatever he happened to be in *shrugs*.
Personally, though Fright Night was the only vampire movie I really loved, I kind of wish David had found something better. That's not to say this Fright Night won't be good, but as I said above it was kind of a silly movie. Fun, scary, but still kind of silly and I think David could do much better. But because he's in it, and because I did like it (Evil Ed was the best :D), I really hope it does well. Maybe even does better than the original. Power to the Fright Night!
