White Collar Fic Request

I know I said I wasn't going to get involved in the White Collar fandom, but curiosity has compelled me and I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of some good gen - as in no pairings or pairing-centered stories (obviously Peter and Elizabeth are an automatic pairing) - White Collar stories. Preferably with Neal whump but not heavy whump (No torture or rape fic).

And please, please, please no pointing me to fic request/search communities as I have the worst luck with those. The requests alone nearly scar me for life ("I'm looking for threesome bondage fic, preferably with spankings" *shudders*:P)

I realize a lot of it is slash but like Sheppard directed, there must be

I refuse to try the communities unless I can find a gen only communities. From what I've heard - and I've only heard - White Collar fic has been pretty porn heavy, and when it comes to porn stories the descriptions alone are disturbing :P

I'm hoping that someone who is less squeamish than me has found a good story or two, as I would really rather not go fic hunting, as that never turns out well.

YES true.......sadly true and like you I find it also disturbing and why I will NOT even agree to beta one even though they request I 'overlook it'
It is an impossibility.......
I am going to ask a friend who is heavily into White Collar if she knows
a gen site?

Thanks :D I feel kind of bad mooching off others for fic, but past searches have made me too nervous to attempt a search on my own. Sometimes it's not a matter of a story being slash or het or gen but also what the characters are put through in the name of whump. In the Criminal Minds fandom, for example, the majority of Reid whump I found was either rape or molestation fic, and is sickened me right out of future searches in that fandom.

It just saddens me that so much of ff has turned into some deep and disturbing themes......kind of like watching the nightly news.
I don't want to read such things as they bother me..........
What really gets me is people seem to believe that if you are not
interested there must be something wrong with you...........
I find that kind of annoying.
I let them do their slash and their NC-17 so why not allow me same
courtesy?????

Thank you :D As I said to Sharpes_Hussy, due to several bad experiences I'm nervous when it comes to fic hunting. It's awesome when I can stumble onto something great, but more often than not I end up stumbling onto something awful that makes me wish I could bleach out my brain :/ So I'm trying to be more careful.
