Fall's here. Kind of interesting story - all of September was pretty hot except for a scattered few cooler days. Then it's October first and the weather has been nothing but cool since. It literally went from warm the day before to cool the next day. The weather has been surprisingly... normal this year. I'm crossing my fingers for snow this winter.

The down side is that it means I'm already cold. The weather outside has been nice but all those cool breezes blowing through the open windows means a chilly house. My mom, of course, loves it. Me, I'm wrapping up in blankets. I hate getting cold so easy.

On the plus side, the cooler weather has made me feel a lot more comfortable about being home. Going on vacation for most of the summer had left me restless, always wanting to do things, to go places and bored out of my mind when we weren't able to. I'm generally rather get up and go during summer, but this summer it was bad. With fall here, and knowing that winter isn't far behind, the restlessness is leaving me and I'm finally feeling content.

The other down side, getting out of bed is harder :/ Darn you warm blankets!

"...........getting out of bed is harder :/"

**nods** can totally relate.
It is sooooooooooooooooooo dark in the AM...........
I already have to snuggle up to my throw here in the den........as it seems
too cool already.
We are having an Indian summer here during day time e.g. today 69 with rest of week low 70s...........even though evenings cool, e.g. last night in 40s.

Our days are still pretty long but they're starting to get shorter. I think we've mostly been in the 70s but inside the house it feels way cooler.

It is 68 in the house and here I sit with a sweater on...........
The sunshine outside is misleading..........because if you go outside it
is not all that warm.
I do not do well in cold. It is better now that I had additional insulation installed last August.....There was ZERO in the under crawl.
The inspector told me it was not required in the late 70s when this was built, but I told him
"Any rational person would have done it given what sort of winters we have"
I thought my feet would turn into ice blocks in winter of 2008. It was what made me call Oregon Energy Trust for an audit. The attics, there are three,
were not even 18 and none in the under crawl so you can imagine.
