Date: 2007-07-31 06:17 am (UTC)From:i read the rules and you want it to be close to canon
what about alternate takes... for instance i'm writing a story that is what i would have liked the return 2 to be
is that okay?... its not done so i won't post it anyways lol but i was just curious

Date: 2007-07-31 06:42 am (UTC)From:I don't know. I may have to do some kind of poll and see what others think, which may take some time to accumulate enough opinions to decide.
In fact I think I'll post the question now to give it enough time to gather enough feedback.

Date: 2007-07-31 01:07 pm (UTC)From:To use my A World of Hurt series again as an example, I technically change what happened in the episode in that I add a whole lot more whump into it BUT they are written more as extra scenes that fit between the scenes we see in the episode, or that give further detail on the scenes we see in the episode, and they in no way contradict or change the events seen in the episode - in fact thet are written specifically to agree with the canon events of the ep.
Rewriting an episode how you would like to have seen it would seem to imply changes things that happened in the ep (whether that be the events that took place, the way the characters behaved, what people said, what the results were etc) would be definition not be canon.
