Not a dufus. It's a valid question :D It's kind of a contest. Not a real contest because you don't win any prizes, but a way to get writers writing. You start writing a story Nov.1 and have to reach 50,000 words by Nov.30. I feel like signing up this year, both to get another original fic written and to try it out.
I have a story I thought up a couple of months ago. It's sort of a modern day fantasy/mystery set in a world like our own but isn't our world, if that makes sense. It came together pretty easy and for some reason, out of all the stories I have in mind, this one I really want to write.
I thought I might do my own version of it. You would be just happy to see me write, right? I've had an idea on my Urban fantasy that may take me off who knows where and you are going to be one of the few privileged to hear all about it! (Unless you don't want to.) The problem is that writing and RL will continue to compete for time and RL seems to win a lot more than writing. Mum's moving in with us by the end of November so I'll be up to her place packing her things a LOT and then we knock off November and HELLO CHRISTMAS! Still, I'm going to try!
Better to try, I say :D At least you will have something started. And I always love to talk writing to heck yeah I want to hear about it :D I'll probably be spamming my f'list with all kinds of writing updates. I may even do a writing filter where you can get a sneak peek at what I'm writing.
