I have no love for people who try to use something that has absolutely nothing to do with politics to spark a political debate, but there is something incredibly amusing about comments over a fight scene between Kirk and a humanoid lizard degenerating into an immature political debate in which no one makes any kind of a point, let alone sense.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I am not familiar with the series
When it was popular I was working shifts in the Navy which took most of my evenings and nights so not familiar with it or than knowing who Kirk and other major players were..........
I guess there is a huge gathering in Atlanta called DRAGON convention where trekkies gather........

Bwahaha. Ohyes. Teh internetz r srs bsns. Lest we ever forget... there are always things like this around to remind us. *g*

Gotta love it when a bit of discussion or debate over something pointless and fun turns into this deadly serious issue, and heaven forbid anyone suggest that people might just be taking the silly not-so-well-executed fight scene a leeeetle too seriously. (Man, it's been forever since I've watched that episode. I suddenly have the urge to do so again.)

I know you've played on Dragon Cave off and on, but I don't know if you've ever gone over to the forums? They can be absolutely hilarious - and occasionally scary - for this sort of thing, sometimes. A lighthearted little discussion of "Oh, hey, this might be a useful feature for the site!" devolves into a heated "This is a human rights issue, and how dare you not take seriously my objections to the implications of such a suggestion." Ridiculous.
