Might as Well Get it Out of My System

I caved. I'm writing Suits fic. Okay, I'm trying to write a Suits fic but every time I do I'm left unhappy with what I have. I just can't come up with any ideas I like, and I would give up the endeavor all together except I really want to write something just to get it out of my system.

So some prompts/ideas would be lovely. What I'm really jonsing to write is something light H/C with a small dollop of fluff. Something cute and interesting without it being heavy-handed in the whump (i.e. Mike gets the crap beat out of him by drug dealers and Harvey does the whole bed side vigil thing) or over the top (Harvey lets Mike stay at his place just because Mike has the flu. No way would Harvey do that).

So any ideas you can throw my way would be awesome. I can't promise that anything will be written, but I really want to at least try to write something since the desire is there.

Maybe the eyes? Or maybe both seem to have a mellow personality no matter what character they play.

USA is really kicking butt with their shows. That's two shows now that have me and all for the same reasons: great character and character dynamics, unique story arcs, cleverness and, mustn't forget, hot guys ;)

Oor, Harvey has Mike running around doing errands like crazy and Mike gets distracted and gets hit by a car on his bike. Harvey witnesses it. Mike only has minor injuries, (maybe still in shock), but Harvey is all hovery...and, of course, yells at him for not paying attention and getting hit.

If you like White Collar there's a good chance you might like Suits. I don't even like lawyer shows but this one sucked me in pretty quick.

I am surprised, though, that this show isn't giving me more fic ideas. This show just begs for some light H/C to be written and yet I can't get a solid idea to save my life. I guess because, maybe, it's a lawyer show and I know nothing about the law (and I really have no desire to do a ton of research just for a one-shot), and also because I'm not really reading Suits fic. I would like to read some good fic, but just the thought of searching for fic makes me ill.

Hmm...how about something along the lines of Mike running himself ragged over the course of a few days, riding his bike back and forth across town in the rain: in one area of town he's doing petty errands for Louis, at the other he's working a case for Harvey.

Harvey catches wind of what's going on and finds Mike burning the midnight oil whilst hacking up a lung and makes him go crash on the couch in his office? (Purely for self-serving reasons of course, they've got a big client meeting in the morning, and Mike must be able to impress with his memory skills.) ;)

I second the idea of Mike burning the midnight oil, that would be so along the show lines. Also there's an idea based on the above poster...

Mike is running errands on his bike in a bad weather (up to you if it's for Louis or Harvey) and he gets into a small accident... fells off the bike, messes up his leg... it's pouring rain and he doesn't want to call a cab cause he's short of money yet or it wouldn't take his bike... right then Harvey calls because he needs some papers and Mike gets angry and tells him to pick him up if he wants them so bad or something. Cue in wet and bruised Mike in Harvey's car, Harvey getting him to the office or driving him home, all the way bitching about the wet upholstery:-) Or wathever else, this can be played out more ways. Harvey feeling sliiightly guilty, or on the other side angry at Louis...

It's very sad. I can handle pre-slash because I can pretend it's friendship.

How about an overworked Mike? Like Louis giving him work at every opportunity, and Harvey doesn't know about it because he is busy with a case elsewhere, and then Mike falls asleep at a very importune moment?

Or Mike's co-worker harass him - stealing his lunch, making his work difficult whenever possible aso.

Or Harvey has a bad day and lays into Mike for not doing what he is supposed to do, not knowing that Mike is already done with the work he gave him.

Or Mike is distracted because his grandmother is ill.

Or a disgrunted clients comes into the office and ends up taking Mike (and Louis?) as hostage.

Or Mike's bike turns out to be useful when Harvey is stuck in traffic and they have to deliver some important papers immediatly.

Or all of the above....

Since you asked...How about Mike has the flu because he was working himself ragged, and Harvey being Harvey, he can't demonstrate any human feeling of concern, so he makes all kinds of secret arrngements for Mike's care/to make sure he's looked after, i.e. having soup delivered from an expensive restaurant, paying his rent when it's overdue, covering for him on some stupid tedious case Louis has him working, whatever you like! Mike doesn't figure it out until later.

!!! WIN. I was so hoping someone from Collar Corner would LOVE SUITS like I do!! So many fans! It's amazing, USA did it again. And I don't usually like Lawyer shows either but Mike and Harvey got me hooked. I was reading SuitsMeme but thats a lot of fluff and ten times more harvey/mike porn..

I have nothing against slash! Especially when it's written in a way where it's see-able, but I don't like explicit sex and I MUCH prefer canon. Friendship is awesome. I digress though.

Maybe Mike's Grandmother's health takes a bad turn, Mike wants to visit her, but doesn't ask Harvey due to a big case? I mean not *really* hurt comfort but like.. Harvey sees something wrong and asks him about it (In his slightly insulting smartass way in my mind, no OOCyness) Mike explains, and Harvey responds in a more serious matter orr something? IM TRYING TO MAKE IT HC.. Im failing. Plot suggested though :)

Or Harvey backing up Mike when he spots Louis picking on him, but in a very Harvey way?(I found a prompt like this on Suits meme, it was 34% plot and 66% porn =[)
