Spreading Gen Prompt Love

I was momentarily tempted to start up a community like collarcorner only for the Suits fandom. But, well, I really don't want to since I don't want to get involved in any more fandoms beyond, maybe, the occasional fic.

But if there is anyone who would like to start their own all gen prompt-fest community for their favorite fandom, base it on Collarcorner or tweak it a bit, please feel free to do so. I may not want to start any more prompt communities but I wouldn't mind participating in a Suits based one myself ;)

Not a clue. As I said I'm trying not to get into any more fandoms so have no idea what communities are already out there.

I haven't seen "Suits," but given how often you force me to fall in love with I fall in love with fandoms you like, I'm not safe from its draw. Which means I'd better steer clear of it, since I haz not time for another fandom at the moment. :P

What I REALLY want a gen fanfic comm for is the Nero Wolfe books. I know, I already whined about this in my private journal, but...srsly! There's nothing gen in the fandom, whatsoever, (I have never seen a fandom so slashy, ever) and I NEED some fic for it, desperately. If I had any hope of luring in writers, I would start a comm in a heartbeat, but I fear it's simply too obscure a fandom. *sadface*

Still, this makes me wonder if there's a place for an all gen version of Yuletide. (http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/) (ETA: Possibly, done in comment fic format like CC, instead of a once-a-year grand reveal.) *ponders*

Not to worry :D I'm not interested in getting into any more fandoms myself, either. I have two Suits fic in me, one written and the other I'm struggling with. Other than that, I just don't see myself really getting into it like I did SGA and White Collar, so you probably won't see much Suits fic from me.

Oh, the all-gen yuletide things sounds awesome :D

What are the Nero Wolfe books about? Maybe I'll give them a read and see if they spark the muses' interest (I'm also desperate for something to read).

Well, if and when I do get into Suits, I'll know where to find a few good fics, then. *g* (But I am glad to hear your focus will remain on SGA/WC. ;D)

Impulsively, I've reserved a community name, in case I do wind up starting an "all-gen yuletide." Thanks for opening up the possibilities with your post. I always feel like starting a comm is Terribly Momentous. But I guess I can dabble, and then cease dabbling if needs be, without risking anything. :P

The Nero Wolfe books are mysteries by Rex Stout. The A&E miniseries was, I believe, my first intro to the books (here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21Ys1IsOFeo) the only episode I could find online). The books are really awesome too. Archie Goodwin is hysterically witty. The sheer Charm Quotient actually reminds me a little of the cleverness of WC.

If you do read/watch some, and write some Archie angst, however short the story I will love you for it. ^^

ETA: Actually, there is someone who has posted more episodes (http://www.youtube.com/user/chris55405). Also, if I may finish burying you in links with this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjf3NCMFIBU&feature=related). It really embodies Archie and Nero's relationship (with Nero having a fit because they arrested Archie unfairly). ;)

I googled "Gen Suits Community" and this is what came up. Did you happen for find one, 'cause for me personally, slash just isn't my cup of tea. No offense or anything, I just don't enjoy romance in general.

Anyway, if you found one and you could just reply or something that'd be great!

I haven't really been looking since I'm not really into the Suits fandom, so I don't know if there is one. Although, sad to say, from what I have seen of the fandom I think it may be some time before an all-gen community crops up.

For some good gen fic I recommend jumpfall, as well as LaylaBinx on FF.net - http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1196439/LaylaBinx. The latter does do some slash but they warn for it and most of their Suits stuff is gen.
