I have a sneaking suspicion I've never posted any pics of my third cat, Mitsy. I feel bad about that. So here you are, Mitsy, your fifteen minutes of fame (pay close attention to her paws if possible).
D'aww. She's darling! And oh - do my eyes deceive me, or does she have extra toes? I've heard in the past that "mitten kittens" make for particularly affectionate cats, but I've no idea if that rumor has any basis in fact. ^^
She does. She's my little thumbed baby. My nephew (who is a Pokemon junky) and myself like to joke that her special power is opening doors. My nephew will go around saying "Mitsy, use thumb power!" :D
I've heard in the past that "mitten kittens" make for particularly affectionate cats,
You know, that would explain a lot. Mitsy is my lap cat and only lap cat. Roxy doesn't sit in laps and Bug never holds still for long. But Mitsy will sleep in my lap for hours. And even the extra-digited cats I've encountered at the Humane Society have always been cuddle bugs.
D'awww! She's an adorable ickle floofy princess. Love the demure expression on her face in the last picture. XD (And I echo Cami in asking about her having extra toes. I once saw a six-toed kitten that were simply adorable. <3)
An apt description :D Especially the princess part ;) She is such a little diva, sometimes. Generally she's a very laid back cat but has some grouch issues, especially toward poor Bug who she really dislikes.
I think that Mitsy is adorable. My mother's tortishell cat gets the same expression on her face as in the last picture quite often. She can be quite a diva as well, mewing and crying for her little saucer of milk. My own kittens sometimes are divas, but often their personalities seem to come through as well. I see that your cat has the same affinity as my kittens for sinks and paper bags. I have tried to puzzle out why cats are so enamored with them, but they just charm me away from thinking about it with their feline wiles.
I think Mitsy likes to lay in the sink on hot summer days. But bags? Yes, 'tis a mystery, one difficult to solve because the cuteness of it is just so darn distracting.
I actually have discovered a reason as to why cats are so enamored with bags via some experts in animal behavior and other related fields. The crinkly sound that bags make when cats move them around intrigues them since it is an odd sound. Cats are fascinated by anything novel. Cats also like to hide in bags because they like to hide in small spaces where they can watch everything. That, and the bag may have some sort of interesting smell left behind from what was contained within.
Thank you :D Mitsy is the right blend of cuddly but not so cuddly you're constantly pushing her away. I've never had a cat so content to sleep in my lap for hours. All my other cats always lost patience with it after about ten minutes :/
What a floofy Hemingway kitty! She's very gorgeous and again, a sink cat, like my one cat Jack.
I've got to get pictures of Daniel (Monkey butt, because he's SUCH a brat :-p) up - he's totally enamored with this fleece blanket I got for Christmas and has totally claimed it as his blanket. (I'm only allowed to sleep under it because then he gets to attack my feet under the blankets. *lol*
Heh, I kept moving the flower around on her head and it was starting to annoy her. But she's all look and no action. Except when I try to brush her, then she's a little demon (and being the fluffy one, she's always in desperate need of a brushing).

Yes, post pictures! I like seeing what other people's cats and dogs look like.
