Hugs to all those who put episode reviews and spoilers up on their journals. I do love spoilers so. They let me know what I'm getting into so I don't end up monumentally disappointed. I have an odd tempter and can become upset for days on end about the stupidest stuff. I try not to let this happen but it always ends up sitting in the back of my mind, popping up at inopportune times. Very annoying. Spoilers actually help prevent that.

Speaking of getting annoyed over stupid stuff - I've realized it's not the "character-skewing in a negative way for the purpose of heaping pity onto another character" fics that bother me; it's the people who leave comments saying how such stories are great even though everyone is OOC and stuff is happening that would never happen on the show (even worse if they say how "in-character" the characters are. Gaaaaah!) But thank goodness there are people who have the decency to call the author on it in polite, sage ways.

The next chapters for Thoughtcrimes: Resonance and Wayfarers are being written (and are, in fact, half written) but the going is slow (Resonance was giving me a bit of trouble so I ended up focusing more on that for a while). But Wayfarers will be posted next week, that I do promise. Resonance is a given because I'm several chapters ahead.

My birthday is next week on the third. Woot! Which means eating out and wasting the day at Borders Books and Music. SGA season three will soon be mine. Mine! Mwhahahahahaha!  *cough!* sorry. Dr. Who, too. And a new radio as my current one sucks!

Season premieres have made me smile. Danny Messer is looking exceptionally hot this season. And Supernatural soon, yay! My TV watching will soon be complete. *Does the happy dance*

Thoughtcrimes fans, I need some ideas for TC one-shots. The story I was having trouble with I'm still working out but I'd like some story ideas for when I'm in the mood to write some TC, as well as for the challenges at Matter of the Mind. I can't promise that I'll use your idea, but it would be nice to have some to work with. I've been on a bit of a Thoughtcrimes kick yet can't quite come up with anything. Don't worry, it won't interfere with me writing Resonance since that story is almost done (and no new TC stories until it is.)

So, there you have it, various stuff.

An idea that would fit challenge 9: Brendan slips on something (you choose) and ends up with a nasty bump on the head, including a nasty gash that requires butterfly bandage. Freya comes by to check up on him and make sure he gets something to eat, but the only thing in his cabinets is a package of Oreo cookies. And it's chilly out, but he hasn't done laundry in ages (due to a big case maybe) and after his shower, she won't let him recycle a pair of tube socks and makes him wear an ugly striped pair he had stashed in the back of his drawer.

And idea that would fit challenge 10: An investigation takes him to a sleezy bar. While there, he only drinks coffee, but someone slips him a mickey. That causes hallucinations and while he's out of it, his wallet & ID are taken. He ends up being admitted to a mental ward as a John Doe, as the hallucinations are so bad that he can't tell/doesn't know who he is.

Another one that might would for challenge 10: Freya has an overload that overwhelms her ability to "block" people out and the only one she can latch onto is Brendan.

I'd kill for another baby Brendan tale.

Um... I'll come up with more...

*Claps excitedly* I like these. The first one has much potential. The second one would probably end up being longer then a one-shot, but I love the idea. Must ponder...

Nuther one:

Brendan goes out for coffee early, before most people are in the office. Somewhere between the coffee shop and the office, he passes someone he knows – FBI, NSA, or another office. Brendan doesn’t take note at the time, but the fella notices him and the person he’s with decides they’d need to take out Brendan before he can tell anyone the two were together, so one of the two lay in wait for Brendan across the street of the NSA building and take a shot at him. Brendan gets a glimpse of the shooter just before he’s hit, but ends up in a coma and can’t communicate the identity of the shooter and other person to anyone, so Freya has to try to get the answers out of him, but his mind is a chaotic clutter of past and present memories, all burying what she’s after, so it’s not as easy as it sounds to get the answer to her question.

Hey, how about a one-shot wherein Brendan is stuck babysitting...possibly a potential young witness, or something? :) Freya may need to bail him out a bit. ;) LOL

And WOOO! Happy Birthday a bit early--Mine is the 2nd, so...we October babies need to stick together. ;)

Karri told me to come you some more ideas, so here I be. *giggles* Now, um, lessee...

1) Brendan makes arrangements to meet a shop owner at the shop before work to get a special present for Freya's birthday. He arrives only to find the shop being robbed and gunfire is exchanged and Brendan is wounded. But what if this wasn't just a random robbery? What if was really a cover up of the true crime--the murder of a certain federal agent?

2) Brendan receives a package at work with no return address. Inside is a seemingly innocuous item--a typical boyhood-type toy or item (baseball glove/football/etc). Brendan gets very upset and leaves. Freya arrives after and must find out who sent it and why--and why it upset Brendan so badly.

Ummm...that's all I've got for now. I'll keep thinking though. :)

My birthday is next week on the third. Woot!

Happy birthday! Hope you have fun at Borders - I love that store. Mmm...books.

Thanks.

Borders was fun but I'm a little ticked. The new Dr. Who cost $100! I was so mad. I ended up having to go with another show.

But at least I have SGA season three. Everyone's right, the box-cover is horrible. No Man's Land, however, was awesome! Such lovely space battles.

I love it when the show does stuff in space - it's sort of like "oh yeah, we're sci-fi, aren't we?" That's one reason why I really liked 'Ark'.

Plus that awesome scene with Sheppard promising to fight Ronon to the death. ^_^
