I really need to learn my lesson when it comes to signing up for fic-a-thons and Big Bangs and all that, because life always manages to turn something that should be fun and easy into this whole mess of too-much-to-do! I have the Reverse Big Bang I need to write, art for the Dragon Big Bang I need to do, I'm still getting my original fic ready to send out to a publisher, which also means I need to get to work on my query letter. And soon I'll have two more writing projects to deal with.
Oh, and I'm a terrible multi-tasker. Seriously, I'm nearly incapable of focusing on multiple things at once. I'm more the "finish one thing before moving onto the next thing" type of person, which isn't exactly viable since certain projects *cough*original fic!*cough* are taking their sweet friggin' time.
I swear it happens every times. I sign up for one Big Bang or a-thon and suddenly I'm swamped. Well, at least I'm keeping busy ;)
ETA: Except that I can't find my friggin' drawing pencils! Lesson two: don't put stuff down thinking you'll remember where it is. Because you never do!
ETA 2: Found the pencils :D

Date: 2012-11-22 08:26 pm (UTC)From:Ugh, sorry to hear you couldn't make the deadline, but I say trying and completing as much as you can is just as much a win. When I did NaNo I completed the deadline but once that deadline was met, I hit a major block with the plot and the motivation to complete the story completely petered out. But the attempt had still been worth it, and I learned the valuable lesson of taking my time with my stories rather than hurrying through the outline and jumping right in. So as long as you get something out of the experience, then it's all good, I say :D
